Thanks for your feedback. Yes, it's detecting the wired connection. And I've tried resetting to factory settings and restarting. I also tried going through xbox support multiple times before. I think it's a deeper problem. I wonder why it doesn't immediately pick up the connection like on Xbox One. Why does it work on Xbox One and not on Xbox anymore. It could possibly come down to your NAT on the not communicating with your current Internet connection, i want to say Modem but as you have said there isn't one.

Just to double check, the cable you connect to that doesn't require a modem are there multiple connections connected that are working successfully apart from the xbox one. I wanted to try sharing my tablet's connection to X, but the X needs a separate adapter for that, hah I bumped into that link before when trying to look up information. I tried to connect without signing in. And I can sign into my account just fine on Xbox One. Things have always been a bit more complicated with the X With the X1, just throw a cable in there and it picks up the connection right away. With X, I always had to restart the modem and the console. Otherwise it didn't detect the connection.
