Currently, Australia Awards—Africa has paused most activities due to the restrictions and uncertainty of international travel to Australia and around Africa. We are not accepting new applications for scholarships at this time. From the Australia Awards—Africa team. The Australia Awards is the cornerstone of the Australian Government's development assistance program for Africa. It provides access to postgraduate education, training and professional development opportunities for suitably qualified Africans from eligible countries. On their return to the workplace, Australia Awards alumni are expected to contribute to the development of their home countries.
The Australian Awards — Africa website, supports all the needs of potential Awardees and current Alumni. We provide potential Awardees with all the information that they need for their applications. We also provide Alumni with all the information that they need for their reintegration and continued professional development. Failure to complete the application form and submit all documentation requested will lead to automatic disqualification. No undergraduate or Masters degree nominations will be considered. The targeted category of scholarships is intended to strengthen targeted areas of capacity in Africa.

If a candidate does not meet the minimum standards for an ELT award, their English standard is considered too low to reasonably meet Australian University standards even with the available English training.
An award will not be offered. No other tests are currently valid. In certain cases, Australian Universities may require proof of English even in situations where letters from the University or workplace have been provided.
