I would like to install the "Development tools" group. But I have noticed I cannot install any group. No packages in any requested group available to install or update. I found the work around , try this : [root localhost rpmbuild] yum groups mark install "Development Tools". Loaded plugins: langpacks, product-id, subscription-manager Invalid groups sub-command, use: info, upgrade, list, remove, summary, install.
Linux localhost. Package: ghc-old-locale Apparently that's not quite the case ;- ]. I have the same problem, any light on how to resolve this. My install went clean, but Iam unable to get past this problem which is kind of blocking my development. I had this problem also, but what happened with me is that I installed the epel repository first, and then tried to install Development Tools.
I had tried so many things and wasn't sure what the problem was, so I completely reinstalled Red Hat 7. I hope this helps some one. I get: There is no installed groups file.
The option suggested by "markjgross" should work perfect to install all packages in any group. You may prefer to remove this later, as this would always push every packages in a group to be installed which may not be required at times.
This may seem a joke but it is not, I had the same problem and the solution made me laugh, I use the default Spanish language and when I used the grouplist command, develpment tools was already installed but the name appeared in Spanish, I do not think That is the solution but if someone wants to try it, do it.
